Carmarthen Town is at the centre of some of the best locally sourced produce in Wales. Hill and salt marsh lamb, Welsh Black beef, local salmon and sewen are widely available in our many restaurants and cafes. Carmarthen is a great destination for foodies. The town has a wide range of award-winning restaurants, plus traditional pubs, live music venues, and a lively selection of bars and clubs at the weekends. Many cafes, pubs and restaurants have outdoor facilities and beer gardens for the visitors to enjoy alfresco dining or a glass of something alcoholic. Canopied seating and tables are available in Notts Square which serve an assortment of eating establishments in the area.

Butchers, greengrocers and fishmongers are sprinkled throughout the town and markets where quality low food mile products are readily available. Carmarthen town centre is well serviced by ethnic food outlets from Polish Deli’s to Italian, Indian and Chinese restaurants as well as many traditional menus in pubs and restaurants throughout.

Cafes operate throughout the town from specialist independent Tea shop to branded coffee shops.
