Carmarthen Town Council kicks off Christmas with a ‘BANG’ this year with festive fun for all the
family. Saturday 20th November is an opportunity to advertise the town, it’s businesses and shops to a
At 12 noon the Reindeer Parade will leave Carmarthen Park with Father Christmas and process through
Lammas Street, Mansel Street, St Catherine Street, Market Way, Lammas Street, Dark Gate, Guildhall
Square, Hall Street, Nott Square, and King Street. Samba Doc will lead the procession all over
Carmarthen with their drumming performance.
Between 1pm and 4pm Elf Stations will be positioned across the town, with free festive activities for
children. Guildhall Square, Nott Square, Yr Atom, St Catherine’s Walk, Jackson’s Lane and Merlin’s Walk
will all join in the fun with lots of free things to do and make throughout the afternoon.
The town will have a festive buzz all around in anticipation of the Christmas Light Switch-On at
4.30pm. The Mayor of Carmarthen Councillor Gareth John will have the honour this year of switching on
the Christmas Lights across the town, including the wonderful Christmas trees in Carmarthen. All across
the town the streets will be illuminated with gorgeous lights and decorations.
Finally, the Fireworks from Carmarthen Castle will be set off at 5pm to celebrate the start of Christmas in
